Who
Must Attend?
X-ray Safety Training is required for ALL employees who work with
x-ray machines and have not yet attended Radiation Safety Training.
It is the responsibility of each Laboratory Supervisor to ensure
that his/her laboratory personnel attend X-ray Safety Training.
A list of individuals who have already completed this training is
available through the Office of Environmental Health & Safety
and can be obtained by contacting the Radiation Safety Officer at
863-1738.
When
Must Initial Training be Completed?
X-ray Safety Training is required to be completed prior to working
with X-ray machines, unless specific approval has been granted by
the Radiation Safety Officer at 863-1738.
How
Often Must I Attend a Refresher Course?
X-ray Safety Training is required to be completed every 5 years
or as recommended by the Radiation Safety Officer.
