The Minor Policy establishes University wide requirements related to the presence of minors and applies to all Brown University research laboratories, laboratory support spaces, and teaching laboratories where pre-college programs or other summer programs involving minors are held. It does not specifically apply to undergraduate teaching laboratories, computer laboratories, clinical settings, or interview rooms and where minors may be participating in a study as part of an approved project. It is the responsibility of the Laboratory Supervisor to ensure that additional Brown University Human Resource approvals and work conditions are followed with regards to minors.
