What's New
Applications now open for Junior Faculty Teaching Fellows Program
Applications are now open for the Junior Faculty Teaching Fellows Program. Selected participants engage in professional development activities designed to help them in their early careers. Fellows will have the opportunity to refine their teaching skills and learn to teach more efficiently, while engaging in these activities in a community of other scholars, together with Center senior staff. Applications are due May 31.
Both tenure-track assistant professors and lecturers are eligible to apply. Fellows will receive $1,500. Up to four (4) Fellows will be selected to participate each academic year.

Advisory Board Announces the Sheridan Award 2011 Honorees
The Advisory Board of the Sheridan Center is delighted to announce the winners of the 2011 Harriet W. Sheridan Award for Distinguished Contribution to Teaching and Learning at Brown University.
The Sheridan Award Medal will be presented to two extraordinary faculty: Professor Arnold Weinstein (Comparative Literature) and Professor Matthew Zimmt (Chemistry) on Monday May 7, 2012 at the annual University Awards Ceremony to be held at 5:00 PM at Pembroke Hall, Room 305.
