The January 2010 issue features articles by faculty colleagues on two aspects of pedagogy which enrich university-level education: Community-Based Learning and Student Exhibitions. The Sheridan Center's Advisory Board announces the 2009 honorees of the Harriet W. Sheridan Award for Distinguished Contribution to Teaching and Learning at Brown. The Center also honors the memory of two of its outstanding founding Advisory Board members, Edward Beiser and Theodore R. Sizer. Not least, there is information on the upcoming lecture by Prof. Sherry Turkle (MIT) and Sheridan Center resources to support the pedagogy and ongoing professional development of the Brown teaching community.
