Perhaps a way of getting at the feel of a pub is through the use of panoramic photography. Here I present three different panoramas. Each represents the view from a different vertical position in the pub - standing, seated, and on the floor. All photos were taken from the same point in the pub with the tripod set to the appropriate height.

Think About:

• How does what you see and experience in a pub change based upon your vertical position? Is the pub the same whether you are seated or standing?
• Does a panoramic photo recreate atmosphere better than a standard sized photograph?
• Is this an effective means of communicating space?
