Georgia Marina Andreou
Postdoctoral Research Associate in Archaeology and the Ancient World (2018-2019)

Georgia Andreou received her PhD in Archaeology from the University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on the Prehistory of the Eastern Mediterranean and her interests include:

  • Archaeological survey, landscape studies, theory and methods
  • Coastal archaeology, preservation, legislation
  • Urbanisation, economic theory
  • Trade and globalisation
  • Digital archaeology design, data management, website design

Current research projects:

  • Assessment, publication and digital dissemination of the Maroni Valley Archaeological Survey Project (MVASP)
  • Preparation of articles regarding coastal erosion and its impact on the archaeology of the Cypriot coastline
  • Publication of chapters of her PhD, entitled: “Traversing Place: Landscape and Identity in Bronze Age Cyprus”
