The annual performance appraisal process for 2020-2021 will be launched to managers on March 1, 2021. Performance appraisals are due to BioMed HR on April 30, 2021.
Please keep the following important information in mind as you prepare for this year’s evaluation process.

|Week of March 1, 2021||Appraisals Launched in Workday|
|April 16, 2021||Appraisals due to BioMed HR|
|Week of April 26, 2021||Appraisals due to Performance Partners in UHR. Final due date is April 30, 2021|
The period in which performance is being measured is from April 1, 2020-March 31, 2021
Staff may actively participate in performance development by completing a self-appraisal. Self-appraisals allow a staff member to reflect on their accomplishments and challenges during the past year and determine where additional professional development would be valuable. The self-appraisal form is available in Workday.
Reviews must be completed for all active employees with the exception of seasonal/intermittent employees. Annual reviews are not automatically delivered for seasonal/intermittent staff; however, you may request that forms be launched from BioMed HR if you do wish to evaluate them.
Ratings of Exceptional must be supported by tangible accomplishments and successes noted in the comment section. Evaluations not meeting this requirement will be returned for completion.
Please note that the highest merit increases will not be limited to those with an Exceptional rating; those with Effective will also be eligible for the highest merit increase. It is important to provide employees with honest, candid feedback regarding strong competencies and those that pose an opportunity for further development.
