October was an exciting month for doctoral candidate Layra Cintrón-Rivera. Two of her microscopy images won the Image of Distinction Award in the 2022 Nikon Small World Photomicrography Competition and her image of a Zebrafish was featured in The Late Show With Stephen Colbert (see 3:39). She was also recognized with the Graduate Oral Presentation Award for the presentation of her doctoral research at the annual SACNAS conference. Read more.
