Blavatnik Family Fellows

Pathobiology graduate students Noe Mercado and Mattia Pizzagalli have been awarded Blavatnik Family Graduate Fellowships in Biology and Medicine.  This new, competitively awarded fellowship is merit-based and awarded to doctoral students with high academic achievement in the Division of Biology and Medicine.

Eight Blavatnik Family Fellows were appointed this year and are selected for their outstanding academics and potential to contribute significant advancements across the clinical and basic life sciences.  Noe is a third-year student conducting his thesis research in the Sean Lawler Lab, and Mattia is an MD/PhD candidate entering his second-year of graduate training in the Nikos Tapinos Lab.  It is a great honor to be named within this group of scientists, and support for these fellowships is generously provided by the Blavatnik Family Foundation.

Congratulations to Noe and Mattia!
