- Help organize annual NSGP Retreat in August
- Two 2nd years serve as Social Chairs
- Form Thesis Committee with NSGP Director approval
- TA for one semester (classes assigned by NSGP)
- Present at NSGP In-House Seminar
- Attend NSGP Seminars
- Attend NSGP Ethics & Skills Seminars/workshops, when available
- Participate in NSGP writing workshops
- Apply for external fellowship
- Have organizational meeting with Thesis Committee to discuss Preliminary Exam
- Participate in Recruitment activities in February
- Pass Preliminary Exam before August 31st
