Description:
Fall Protection Training is a 4-8 hour session presented by the
Safety Specialist and covers topics related to working safely at
heights in excess of 6 feet. The training will cover:
- Need for
fall protection
- Identification
of fall hazards
- Guardrail
systems
- Fall restraint
systems
- Positioning
device systems
- Personal
Fall Arrest Systems (PFAS)
- Anchorage
Connectors and anchor points
- Body
wear
- Connecting
devices
- Fall clearance
calculations
- Equipment
inspection & maintenance
- Donning
a full body harness
- Protection
from falling objects
Who
Must Attend?
Employees working in areas that are unprotected from falls greater
than 6 feet in height.
When
Must Initial Training be Completed?
Initial training must be completed prior to working in an area with
a fall exposure greater than 6 feet.
How Often
Must I Attend a Refresher Course?
Refresher training
must be completed at least every 3 years.
