Government Relations & Community Affairs

The Office of Government Relations and Community Affairs (GRCA) promotes interactions and communications on behalf of Brown with government at the local, city, state, and federal levels. GRCA advocates on behalf of students, faculty, and staff through direct contacts with elected officials and through involvement with statewide and nationwide educational organizations.

The office also acts as a liaison between Brown and community organizations, neighborhood associations, and individuals located in and around College Hill, providing them with information about the University and its resources. In turn, GRCA informs and advises the University about the needs and interests of the community and of city, state, and federal representatives.
