Tiger Salamander

Lateral view X-ray video of buccal oscillation in Ambystoma tigrinum (tiger salamander). Most of the hyobranchial movements in this clip are buccal oscillations, but one buccal pump occurs about 3/4 of the way through the clip. Note that this is an x-ray positive video; bones appear dark and air in the lungs and buccal cavity appears light.
