Description: This workshop explores the concept of inclusive leadership and its role in driving organizational success. It will cover the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace, as well as strategies for building a more inclusive culture.

Description: Be a better ally by getting familiar with the essential terms and definitions of sexual and gender diversity concepts and identities. Learn the history of the LGBTQ+ community. Become aware of the past and current psychology research. Finally, understand the importance, and practice the use, of accurate pronouns.

Title: Working Together to Increase and Spread Empathy
Description: In this workshop, we will lead participants through a discussion on the importance of empathy, sharing pragmatic tips for developing the skill of empathy that can be effectively used in the workplace. Participants will learn the key concepts related to empathy and will leave knowing how to further develop their own capacity to show empathy to others, both at work and at home. This workshop was built on the underlying premise that working together to increase our own empathy and spread empathy throughout the university is an important goal, and critical to the future of work at Brown.

Title: Equality or Equity? Reframing the Conversation About Disability in Higher Education
Description: The purpose of the workshop is to reframe the conversation around disability as diversity in higher education. Through sharing information rooted in a social justice framework, participants will understand and consider that disability is not just about compliance and accommodations. Disability must be recognized as an integral component of diversity just the same as any other identity. Practical ideas and tips will be shared for advancing disability and diversity at Brown University in order to create an equitable experience for all.
