The Power of Petra
The Wall Street Journal featured a story by Jamie James on the beauty of Petra, citing Brown's work at the Great Temple: "Since 1993 a team from Brown University, led by Martha Sharp Joukowsky, has carried out a dig at Petra's Great Temple, and it has found some rare and beautiful specimens of Nabataean architecture...such as an elephant-headed capital and a tiny theater set in the midst of the temple."

Material Worlds Receives Renewal Grant
The Material Worlds Working Group was awarded a second Humanities Research Group Grant by the Cogut Humanities Center, in order to continue interdisciplinary discussions of material culture and to host public talks throughout the coming academic year.

JIAAW and GigaPan
