Python workshop

This is the continuation of the Getting Started with Python and Data Science Workshop held on August 28 and 29 in PSTC. In this workshop, participants learn to use Pandas and NumPy packages to perform data manipulation with Python. Basic understanding of Python and Jupyter notebook is required. This workshop covers topics including data structures, I/O, selection, missing data imputation, merging, grouping, visualization and other data wrangling techniques. Attendees are expected to work on a data science exercise to gain hands-on experience. The seats are limited and those who attended the last workshop receive priorities. For those who did not attend the first workshop and are in need of the basic knowledge of Python, the instructions on Jupyter Notebook installation and Python tutorials will be posted online before the workshop.

This workshop is only open to students, postdocs, faculty and other researchers with a Brown University affilation.
