Rachel Franklin (Associate Director) is a population geographer and regional scientist with research interests in spatial variations in demographic processes at the national and sub-national scales, migration and fertility in particular, and the impacts of these variations. Her current research focuses on population decline across counties and cities in the U.S. and also college-bound student migration and human capital distribution.
