As a member of Dr. Patrycja Dubielecka-Szczerba’s laboratory at Brown, Alissa Oakes focused her reserach on the biology of blood cancer-initiating stem cells.

Congratulations, Dr. Carley!

As a member of Dr. Alan Morrison’s laboratory at Brown, Rachel Carley studied the role of macrophage inflammation in vascular calcification. The primary goal of the Morrison Lab is to define a critical pathway of which inflammatory macrophage signaling modulates atherosclerosis and calcification.

3rd Year Student Showcase!

The TSGP "3rd Year Student Showcase" featured inspiring presentations by the 3rd Year PhD students in the Therapeutic Sciences Graduate Program. The students presented their research on April 4th, 2024 at Brown's Laboratories for Molecular Medicine on Ship Street in Providence. Following the talks, TSGP students, faculty and staff enjoyed a "Spring Fling" reception at the Narragansett Brewery.

Congratulations, Dr. Caitlin Hopkins!

As a Therapeutic Sciences PhD student at Brown, Caitlin Hopkins conducts research in a biomedical engineering and pathology lab. She focuses her research on 3D cell culture, tissue engineering, and particularly the study of the extracellular matrix and associated alterations.
