The TSGP "3rd Year Student Showcase" featured inspiring presentations by the 3rd Year PhD students in the Therapeutic Sciences Graduate Program. The students presented their research on April 4th, 2024 at Brown's Laboratories for Molecular Medicine on Ship Street in Providence. Following the talks, TSGP students, faculty and staff enjoyed a "Spring Fling" reception at the Narragansett Brewery.
As a Therapeutic Sciences PhD student at Brown, Caitlin Hopkins conducts research in a biomedical engineering and pathology lab. She focuses her research on 3D cell culture, tissue engineering, and particularly the study of the extracellular matrix and associated alterations.
As a Therapeutic Sciences PhD student at Brown, Andrew Howes uses optical microscopy to study the role of senescense in pulmonary fibrosis extracellular matrix remodeling.
