In the wake of ChatGPT, the conversations around AI feel urgent, but they’ve been with us for a very long time. Technology – and digital technology like AI – has been shaping society for decades, if not longer.

At Brown, we have a rich collection of scholars from across the disciplinary spectrum who have brought their distinct perspectives to these conversations, in ways both deep and multifaceted. Through this series of themed dialogues, we will hear from these experts about the opportunities and impact that AI technology presents to higher education and beyond.

“Conversations on AI and our data-driven society” is provided by the Office of the Provost, in partnership with the Data Science Institute.
