New Undergraduate Leadership & Research Program
The Swearer Center is excited to bring The Laidlaw Scholars Leadership and Research Programme to Brown University. Through the Laidlaw Scholars Program, Brown undergraduates will have the opportunity to connect their academic studies to community knowledge and action. Swearer Center Peer Advisors (PA) work with staff and faculty to enhance the student experience through the Swearer Center. PAs help publicize Swearer Center programs, fellowships, and opportunities; represent the Center at events and assist in campus-wide outreach; organize informational sessions and community-building events, and meet individually and in groups with students to answer questions, share experiences, support problem-solving, develop engagement plans, and connect students to Center staff.
