If you have students who are engaging with minors or vulnerable populations in Rhode Island, it is likely required and generally best practice to obtain a RI State background check prior to their engagement. Check with your community partner(s) on the required or desired clearances for your students. The Providence Public School Department requires Brown University student volunteers to complete a State BCI prior to engagement.
