Sydney serves as the primary administrative support for the Vice President for Community Engagement. Sydney is developing an in-depth understanding of the Vice President's role and responsibilities including institutional engagement, directing the Swearer Center, relationships with external communities and supporting the effective and efficient execution of those responsibilities. Sydney provides administrative support and contributes to special projects. Sydney also fulfills administrative support needs for the Associate Vice President of Government and Community Relations in addition to her role at Swearer. The Executive Assistant performs several key functions including relationship management, project management, scheduling and other logistics such as expenses and travel.

Prior to joining the Swearer Center, Sydney served several community-facing roles as an Assistant Children's Librarian/Reference Assistant at the Greenville Public Library, an Assistant Manager at the Avon Cinema, and the Aquatics Coordinator at the Smithfield YMCA. Sydney has loved learning from the community around her, as well as striving to help that community.

Fun fact: Sydney is a triplet!
