Melissa D'Amico

Educator and Interim Principal, Stephen Olney Elementary School

Melissa D’Amico is the lead educator and interim principal at Stephen Olney Elementary School in North Providence.  She recently completed the Principal Residency Network Program at the Center for Equity and Equality where she earned her Administration Certificate. Melissa has spent her educational career collaborating with others to advance equity of student development in the North Providence community.  

Melissa is an Advisor to the Bonner Fellows at Stephen Olney School, an Organizer and Training Director for the Tutor Partnership of Brown University and the Stephen Olney Community and the Coordinator of the Student Council Committee. She serves as a Chairperson of the Stephen Olney School Improvement Team and is the Team Leader of the Summit Learning Platform alongside New England Base Camp. 

Melissa currently serves on the Mayor Salvatore Salvatore Mancini Scholarship Fund and supports Shoulder to Shoulder (Honduras) and Girls on the Run (Providence) programs. She is an active member on BrownEngage and looks forward to continuing furthering her engagement in the Brown University community.
