Internship Placement: Executive Office of the Mayor on the My Brother's Keeper initiative 

Jacqueline Agustin is a first-generation senior at Brown University concentrating in Health and Human Biology with a focus on Brain Health and Behavior. Her family has deep roots in Oaxaca, Mexico, hailing from an indigenous community whose language she hopes to learn someday. Jacqueline has taken on various roles on and off campus, such as working as a Research Assistant for Brown's Education Department and interning at Raising a Reader, which is focused on supporting low-income families develop helpful reading routines with their children. Jacqueline previously interned at the U.S. House of Representatives through the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. There, she learned about the inner workings of how the federal government works and how it responds to national issues. Jacqueline is very passionate about exploring health policy and education through an intersectional lens. In her free time, Jacqueline enjoys drawing and journaling.
