Camille '24 is a rising senior. Through the Edward Guiliano '72 Global Fellowship, she will visit the ASLConnect Summer Residency Program at Gallaudet University to support her goal of serving the Deaf community as a doctor. Gallaudet University is the only liberal arts college in the world designed for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students. There she will undergo an intensive two-week session with ASL classes, workshops, and activities to build conversational and comprehension skills in American Sign Language. Camille will learn more about Deaf culture, culturally appropriate behaviors, and the history of Deaf communities to better interact with and advocate for the Deaf community.
