Investigating Optical Properties of Metamaterials through Computer Simulation with Applications to Invisibility Devices

Faculty Sponsor: Rashid Zia

Adam studied the optical properties of unusual materials using computational simulations. He modified existing numerical methods in order to investigate materials composed of small particles interspersed randomly throughout a host medium, and developed new algorithms to improve computational elegance and efficiency

Adam is Ph.D. student in Physics at Stanford University working in a microscopy laboratory that seeks to overcome the classical diffraction limit through novel image processing strategies.
