Why Art Doesn't Talk: The Predicament of Art Interpretation in a Textual World

Julie intended to challenge commonly help notion about the interpretation of art and its relationship to language. She built and presented an exhibition of seven sculptures linked together in a chain of image-text relationships.

Julie earned her MFA at Rhode Island School of Design in 2013. Julie lives and works in Brooklyn. She is currently a teacher at the Lycee Francais de New York and Artist in Residence at SOHO20 Gallery in Chelsea.
