Faculty Sponsor: Patricia Symonds

Kim worked in conjunction with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Global Health Initiative to design and conduct a nutritional assessment of a pediatric inpatient ward in Nyangabagwe Referral Hospital in Francistown, Botswana. Kim's research aimed to improve the diagnosis and treatment of malnutrition and other co-morbidities in the unit. As a Royce Fellow for Sport and Society, Kim also worked with the King's Foundation, a community development NGO, helping to organize sporting events and community service projects in local slums and rural villages.

After graduating from Brown in 2010, Kim joined Clarion Healthcare, a boutique life science consulting firm located in Boston, MA, to gain direct exposure to the business complexities of the healthcare system in a fast-paced environment. She is currently a Graduate Student at Yale School of Public Health.
