Miriam will be collaborating with Professors Karen Newman and Stephanie Merrim to create a new undergraduate course on Renaissance women's writing. She also will conduct independent research for her honors thesis focusing on early modern women's literature.

After graduating from Brown in 1998, Miriam completed a Ph.D. in English at the University of Pennsylvania (2005), and she is currently an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Georgia. She has held fellowships at McGill University and the Folger Shakespeare Library. She has received a Willson Center Fellowship for 2014-2015 to complete her new book, Renaissance Undead.
