The use of psychedelic-assisted therapy in the treatment of Alcohol Use Disorder
The present project examines the efficacy of psychedelic assisted therapy (PAT) to combat the growing number of individuals suffering from treatment resistant psychiatric illness. Specifically, a critical examination of MDMA in the treatment of Alcohol Use Disorder in a novel preclinical model will contextualize the remarkable results of the current published literature on PAT.
