The Climate Crisis is a pressing issue that affects us all. Urban tree canopy and green spaces have been identified as potential solutions to mitigate climate change, improve air quality, and promote urban biodiversity. The project will investigate the relationship between urban tree canopy and park systems in Providence and examine their relationship to demographic factors. Additionally, the project will explore the social and economic benefits of green spaces and urban tree canopy, and how they can be utilized to combat climate change. Through this project, we hope to raise awareness of the importance of green spaces and promote environmentally sustainable practices in urban planning and management.
