Kaitlyn Gosakti '24 is concentrating in Cognitive Neuroscience and possibly International & Public Affairs. She calls Jakarta, Indonesia home and plans to take her experiences from Brown to reshape Indonesia's medical and bioethical landscape. Kaitlyn is excited by the possibility of becoming a bioethics lawyer as she is interested in the interdisciplinary approach incorporating justice, business, and science to understand how we can tackle healthcare injustices in the most marginalized communities. At Brown, she is working on an NIH-funded project under Dr. Shenhav to understand the neural mechanisms behind motivation; she hopes to use this opportunity to research how systems can be improved to motivate people to carry out best practices in complex social and medical situations. She is also an advocate for Connect for Health in RI's Hasbro's Children Hospital. In her free time, Kaitlyn loves to bake, make fresh pasta with friends, and play tennis!
