The Dairy Cooperative will offer door-to-door pickup for dairy products to the member farmer, and sell the products directly to the consumer market, ensuring a guaranteed minimum price to the farmers. This gets rid of middleman inefficiency. In addition, the usage-based fee that the cooperative levies on the members will be used to invest in cooperative undertaking such as investing in a community storage plant, utility vehicle and employing a professional manager. The cooperative will also give out low-interest micro-credits to members to invest in innovative new techniques and better breeds of cattle.
It will partner with the Local government and the agriculture department to channel government funding and support for maximum impact and sustainability.
