Urvi Binjrajka '23 is concentrating in Biology and Economics. Home for her is Mumbai, India. Urvi came into Brown on the pre-medical track and has always been passionate about working in the healthcare industry. She enjoys learning about this through many different roles, including Research, Consulting, Investing, and Non-profit work. At Brown, she has founded Umeed, a club that works with non-profits in India to support low-income cancer patients and is currently working with a non-profit that works to reduce preventable infant and maternal mortality in South Asia. She would love to further explore the intersection between healthcare and entrepreneurship, to find translational solutions for areas which have been lacking for typically underserved populations. As a Social Innovation Fellow, she hopes to develop the skills required to start a successful venture and make a positive impact!
