Student Advisory Committee (SAC)

The Swearer Center Student Advisory Committee (SAC) is a body of 15 to 18 Brown students that ensures the Center consistently enacts its values of ethical and engaged student leadership, social justice, academic rigor, reciprocity and respect and diversity, equity and inclusion. The Committee brings a diverse set of student experiences and perspectives to bear on the Center’s decision-making and strategic processes. The Committee also acts as a conduit between Swearer staff and the student body, gathering input from students while representing Swearer in the larger Brown community. The Committee advises the Center Director and, through its committee structure, the staff of the Center, on all aspects of the Swearer Center.
