Brown to confer 3,244 degrees at 256th Commencement

On Saturday and Sunday, May 25 and 26, the University will confer a total of 3,244 degrees in all categories — undergraduate, graduate, medical and honorary.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] — Brown University will confer a total of 3,244 degrees at its 256th Commencement, with undergraduate, graduate and medical school ceremonies taking place across the weekend.

Nearly 1,000 master's degrees will be conferred on Saturday, May 25, on the College Green during the Master’s Ceremony. Class of 2024 degree conferrals will continue the next day on Pembroke Field during the Doctoral Ceremony; at the First Baptist Church in America during the College ceremony; and at the First Unitarian Church during the Warren Alpert Medical School ceremony.

Undergraduate, graduate and medical students will then unite on the College Green for the University Ceremony, during which honorary and symbolic degrees will be awarded.
