Dr. Nathan Kearns recently gave an invited lecture on contextuality and substance-impaired driving at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) on March 18th.
His presentation covered four major topics: (1) an overview of his training and background, (2) an overview of public health concerns on substance impaired driving with a focus on alcohol and cannabis, (3) laboratory techniques (e.g., models of contextual factors, stress manipulations) and field based assessments (e.g., EMA, passive driving technology), and (4) open discussion on training, research, and future directions in the field.
