BrownSites

BrownSites is the University's Drupal-based web content management system (CMS). BrownSites currently runs more than 500 websites hosted on brown.edu.

The Office of University Communications partners closely with Computing & Information Services (CIS) to offer BrownSites to the University community. In this partnership, OUC provides leadership for visual design, content strategy and user experience.

In 2018 the University launched an effort to completely rebuild www.brown.edu. This project will require the migration of every current BrownSite into a new version of the content management system.

If you elect to build or rebuild your website in BrownSites 2 or University Theme now, you will be required move the site to Brown's new web platform in 12 to 18 months.
