Dear Colleagues,

As part of planning for the fall, we are requesting that all lab, studio, and performance classes that involve an in-person component develop plans for safe instruction. These plans should be submitted for review and approval through the return-to-campus portals. This memo provides guidelines and resources to aid in the planning process. Please distribute the memo to instructors and managers in your unit.

We know that this request adds another task when you are already overburdened with preparing for the fall and working in an ever-changing landscape. We appreciate your help in ensuring a safe environment for our students, faculty and staff in the coming academic year.

Sincerely,

Janet Blume, Deputy Dean of the Faculty              Tom Roberts, Associate Provost for Academic Space
