Anna Aizer is Professor of Economics and Chair of the department at Brown.  She joined Brown in 2003 after graduating from UCLA in 2002 and completing a postdoc at Princeton. She is the incoming editor at the Journal of Human Resources and co-director of the Children's program at the National Bureau of Economic Research.  The focus of her work is understanding the high rates of intergenerational transmission of poverty in the US.
