In the Providence Journal: Years After Flood, Cranston Homeowners Await Buyout
December 11, 2017

"Brian Dupont visits the site of his former homes on Perkins Avenue, near the Pawtuxet River, in Cranston. After the floods of 2010 severely damaged his properties and others in the neighborhood, the city used federal grant money to buy his homes and demolish them." [Providence Journal/Bob Breidenbach]
As part of my work with the Storytellers Fellowship, I pitched, researched, and wrote a story about the challenges facing Rhode Island residents living in flood-prone areas and the difficult steps one community in Cranston has taken towards resilience. The story ran in the print version of the Providence Journal on Dec. 7, 2017. Read the full story on the Journal's website, here.
