Each resident has a continuity clinic for two weeks every six weeks (2+4 schedule).  During those two weeks, each resident will have three half-day sessions of continuity clinic per week; then during the four weeks of mostly inpatient rotations, each resident will have zero sessions of continuity clinic.  The resident clinic has the dedicated support from a clinic RN.

Each resident has three weeks of vacation during the PGY2 and PGY3 years, and four weeks of vacation during the PGY4 year.  In addition residents rotate in our holiday schedule for 5-6 days on and 5-6 days off around the Christmas and New Year's holidays.
