Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) has developed this 3D Printer Guidance to assist departments with selecting 3D printers and to inform them on how to use them safely.  Before making a 3D printer purchase, review this guidance to understand the potential hazards associated with 3D printers and how to avoid or mitigate these hazards.  In addition, email [email protected] so that EHS can conduct a hazard assessment of the 3D printer operations proposed.  EHS will provide recommendations, as needed, to ensure that the 3D printer can be operated safely in the proposed location.
