The Real Estate & Auxiliary Housing Office consists of 13 dedicated professionals focused on all aspects of the University’s commercial & residential real estate transactions & operations. From leasing & managing auxiliary housing to large scale development projects like South Street Landing, we work within the framework of Brown's master plan to manage the development, acquisition, lease, sublease and disposal of real estate. In doing so, we -
- Collaborate with key constituents for large scale Public Private real estate development partnerships (like South Street Landing and Providence Innovation District)
- Acquire and dispose of real estate in support of the University's mission
- Own and manage commercial real estate on College Hill and in the Jewelry District with a goal to foster community building and economic development
- Own and manage auxiliary and residential housing in support of Brown's undergraduate, graduate, faculty and staff housing requirements
