If you are a visiting scholar in need of housing, the Auxiliary Housing department can assistance in your search for on-campus housing. Brown-owned visiting scholar apartments are fully-furnished and range in size from efficiency apartments to two-bedroom units. Monthly rental rates, which include the cost of utilities and wireless internet, range from $1,950 to $2,600 per month (ICERM rates may differ from rates quoted below). Reservations are made by the sponsoring department using the Visiting Scholar Housing Request Form. Requests from visiting scholars directly will not be fulfilled. The minimum reservation request is 14 days.
Animals: No pets are allowed, with the exception of service animals or emotional support animals, which are permitted in residential housing in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Fair Housing Act. Scholars with emotional support animals must first register a request to Brown’s ADA/Section 504 Coordinator. Emotional support animals should not be brought into the unit prior to approval. A scholar with a registered service animal and/or emotional support animal is responsible for complying with all Brown associated policies, rules, and procedures and shall be responsible for paying for any damage to the Unit caused by the animal.

• Prior to arrival: Failure to cancel at least 10 days prior to arrival date will result in a 7-day charge to the
