Important Updates to the Student Conduct Procedures 2023-2024. 1. New Non-Disciplinary Response Options: Expectation Meetings will be non-disciplinary but may result in a University Directive to complete educational terms (p. 6). University Directive Letters will contain a directive to complete an educational term with no student conduct record (p. 6). 2. Student Rights and Responsibilities: Witness Rights and Responsibilities have been added (p. 11). 3. Higher-Level Hearing Procedures: All questions from the complainant and the respondent will now be submitted in writing to the Case Administrator/Chair of the Hearing (p. 15). 4. Outcomes: Findings of responsibility may result in no community status being applied (p. 16). If not community status is applied, the letter of responsibility will serve as notice that the Code has been violated (p. 17). Probation with Restrictions as a community status has been removed (p. 17). Accompanying Terms have been renamed Terms and can be applied with a responsible finding even with no community status. University Restrictions are now a Term, rather than part of a status, and allow for more tailored restrictions. These can only be applied if a community status is applied (p. 17).
