The Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology has established a publication series, Joukowsky Institute Publications (JIP), which is focused on dissemination of the results of conferences and workshops held under the Institute’s aegis, on fieldwork reports and other scholarly studies by faculty associated with the Institute, and on the publication of archaeological material in Brown collections. JIP volumes are available through Casemate Academic (formerly David Brown Book Company) and Oxbow Books.

The Institute also produces a semi-annual newsletter, Inventory: News from the Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World. Past issues are archived as Adobe documents, accessible on this website's Inventory Newsletter page or through our News pages.

Brown University is now the main editorial center of the Journal of Mediterranean Archaeology, of which Institute Professors John Cherry and Peter van Dommelen have been co-editors since 1990 and 2006, respectively. Editorial forums for the journal are served by a Brown University-based GoogleSite.

A number of papers by current and former faculty, students, and associates of the Joukowsky Institute and of the Center for Old World Archaeology and Art are available online, and may be accessed via the Online Publications pages.

The Institute’s predecessor, the Center for Old World Archaeology and Art (COWAA), published the series, “Archaeologia Transatlantica”, which has now ceased production. Volumes in this series that are still in print are available through Casemate Academic (formerly David Brown Book Company) and Oxbow Books.
