Scope of Work
Our work is focused on three pillars: empowerment, prevention and response. The pillars are coupled with an understanding of the social ecological model. We layer our work within this model (public/society level, community/organizational level, at the interpersonal level, and the intrapersonal level) - ensuring a holistic and impactful approach.

On average each year, BWell provides:

Impact
Each program ends with an evaluation that asks questions about satisfaction with the program, measures pre-determined learning outcomes, demographics and an opportunity to write in feedback. Below you will find a sampling of some of the written feedback we have received from our evaluations.

  • "... I am very lucky and happy to continue this growth journey. ... thank you for always being there for me."
  • I learned “open communication is key and masculinity can be discussed in a positive context.”
  • I learned “How to reflect on my own privileges' and how they impact other people.”
  • “BWell has made me feel more a part of the Brown community and most importantly made me more aware of the importance of taking time to care for myself.”
  • “I … learned how to check in with myself and work on my own physical and mental well-being during grad school, which has been an invaluable experience.”
  • “Learned about boundaries and boundary setting!”
  • “It was actually so lovely. It was the first time I’ve had a conversation about sex, but more importantly, about pleasure, in a large group of people. I was nervous going in but it was a really nice and most importantly joyful space.”
  • I learned “There is strength in community”
