University Ombuds Office
The Ombuds Office provides independent and confidential resource for faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows and associates, graduate students and medical students with concerns arising from their work and studies at Brown.

Brown's Faculty/Staff Assistance Program provides a range of support services for trainees, including confidential counseling, financial consultation, and health and wellness tools.

Brown University supports the well-being of trainees by providing a range of programs and services - from childcare resources to homeownership programs.
Family and Housing Resources
Housing
The Office of Auxiliary Housing manages an off-campus housing service that provides listings of privately-owned apartments and rooms for rent.
Family Resources
Postdocs are eligible for childcare subsidies, back-up care for children and adults, and many other services designed to support Brown families. Trainee parents can also connect with other families via the Graduate Students and Postgrad Parent Listserv.
Parking and Transportation
Trainees are able to ride Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) buses and trolleys at no charge. Members of the Brown Community can use the shuttle service to travel to sites on College Hill, the Jewelry District, and select affiliated hospitals. Access to Brown's parking facilities is managed by the Office of Transportation and Parking Services.
