WIB is proud to present it’s first collaboration with Lean In (LI), a group that works to create a strong network through which women can connect and empower each other to pursue their professional and personal goals. On Thursday April 12th at 7:30 p.m. in Smitty B Room G12, WIB will be hosting their 2nd GBM along with a Public Speaking Workshop which will include a quick update on WIB, an opportunity to hear about LI’s work on campus as well as a workshop run by Barbara Tannenbaum**. This is sure to be an exciting event and it is a great opportunity to connect with other amazing women around campus. **Barbara Tannenbaum is a professor at Brown and she teaches courses in public speaking and persuasive communication. She is the recipient of many awards both in and outside of Brown University. Outside of academia, Barbara is a consultant in the area of effective communication. She has advised senior political leaders at the state and national level. Her clientele spans global enterprises as well as various Supreme Courts, the Council of Chief Judges of the Appellate Courts of the United States,, The International Monetary Fund, MFA Boston, The Museum of Modern Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
